Deep Waters Devotional

- with Shelia Renee  -

And He said, "Come!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"

Good Morning Friends,

"Some days are easier than others, Cause life's not tailor made.
Some days you hide under the covers, Till the storms clouds blow away.
You feel like your faith is dying, But please don't give up yet.

Cause that's just how it goes, How life churns, how it flows,
Through the fire and through the pain.
It may hurt, it may bruise, It may leave you confused,
But you will be okay, Cause His kind of love Is a love that won't walk away.

So don't let the rain take your courage, Don't let the wind beat you down.
Don't let the waves crash against you, Turn your heart around.
Cause God is there right beside you and His kind of love won't walk away."

A Love that won't Walk Away-Kathy Troccoli

The words of this beautiful song rang in my spirit this morning. A message I felt so many of us need to hear through our Deep Waters. Whatever yours may be today...sickness, a loss, a relationship, career, or even just a deep need in your spirit...God wants you to know that you are not alone. You will come through this ....stronger than before...

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

You Really can climb this mountain that is in front of you...no matter how hard it may seem. When you don't feel like you can take another step...just remember you can! Brighter days are in front of you... Calmer seas lay ahead. Just keep your eyes on the One who knew you before you were in the womb...who had a plan for you from your first smile. Remember He will not fail you...and most importantly Remember you are Loved!...and you are not Alone!

Have a Beautiful Blessed Day.

Good Morning Friends,

If you read my "About Us" page, you know the inspiration behind my website. It was a deep longing to want to reach out and comfort those who were going through the "Deep Waters"of life...and boy has there been a lot of that in our family and yours this past year...So much loss and stress. It's so hard to focus on the good when you are going through those times...but it's during those times that we need to find that peace. We have to remember that durong those lowest times, we are not alone. When we feel our lowest is when God is doing the heavy work. During those times is when there is only one set of footprints in the sand.

Oh it's so hard to remember that when you are going through those dark days. It's so hard to remember that it's during those darkest days that God is carrying you...but once you realize that your load all of a sudden becomes a little lighter. Can you image trying to lift a huge load while you are being carried? It would be pointless...your effort would only be wasted because the One doing the Real work was beneath you. Once you realize that...you can breath a little easier. You can Really give the weight of those hurts, fears,or loss over to the Lord and rest in His arms.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

He does not say He will take them away or make them disappear...for there is a time for everything...

A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.

Ecclesiastes 3:4

...but He does say He will be there to carry you. Throught the storms of life...there is Peace in knowing that He is carrying you. You will come through this....and in time there will once again be two sets of footprints in the sand. Just remember to always keep Him beside you... because God is oue refuge and strength and always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1)

from my heart to yours,

Shelia Renee
